When Halima Abdi fled the civil war in Somalia with her young daughter, she hoped her stay across the border in Kenya’s Dadaab refugee camp would be short-lived.
Furthering this blog post, I highly recommend the following discussion led by Andrew Marr but featuring Ben Rawlance who wrote “City of Thorns” and spent four years in Dadaab. All in all I found this a worthy and enjoyable discussion:
